Chandigarh: Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art Cyber Crime Police Station in Sangrur, marking a significant milestone in Punjab Police's statewide efforts to enhance public services. This dedicated hub will combat cyber-related offenses, including online financial fraud, identity theft, cyberbullying, hacking, and online scams. The police station boasts cutting-edge technology and highly trained personnel specializing in digital forensics and cybercrime investigation.

SHO Room: A dedicated space for the Station House Officer
Investigators' Rooms: Two rooms for investigators to work on cases
CCTNS Room: A room for Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System
Hawalat: A space for holding cells
During his visit, DGP Gaurav Yadav interacted with police personnel and met with Ashok Bhandari, a complainant from Dhuri, Sangrur, who expressed gratitude for the prompt resolution of his cyber fraud case. Bhandari had been defrauded of ₹1.29 crores through online trading, but the Cyber Team Sangrur recovered ₹30 lakhs after registering the FIR.
