Patiala : Finance, Planning, Taxation and Excise Minister of Punjab Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema on Monday dedicated five Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Patiala district.
While inaugurating the Aam Aadmi Clinics at Bhasha Bhavan and village Jhill here today, Finance Minister S. Harpal Singh Cheema said that another promise has been fulfilled by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab government. He said that this was the first time that the promises made by a government before the elections have been fulfilled within five months of the formation of the government. The work that governments usually do in the last six months has been done by the Mann government in the first five months. This is the difference between the AAP government and others before it, said he
“75 Aam Aadmi clinics are being started in the state today including five clinics in Patiala district. 41 types of tests will be available in these clinics free of cost. These clinics will also maintain the complete clinical data of the patients so that he/she can get treatment from any clinic in the entire State. A medical officer, pharmacist, clinical assistant and grade four employees will be posted at each clinic”, said Cheema.
Finance Minister said that health and education are among the primary priorities of the government, that is why the government has increased the budget for these two sectors in its first budget. “With the opening of 75 Aam Aadmi clinics in the state today, a revolution has also started in the field of health facilities in Punjab and more such clinics will be established soon across the state”, he added.
On this occasion Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli also had their health check-up at the Aam Aadmi Clinic at Bhasha Bhawan.
On this occasion, Patiala Rural MLA Dr. Balbir Singh, Divisional Commissioner Mr. Arun Sekhari, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Thind, Civil surgeon Dr. Raju Dhir, SMO. Kushaldeep Kaur, Rajna Sharma were also present.
