Sangrur : Finance Minister S. Harpal Singh Cheema today launched the 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' scheme in sub-division Dirba by starting land mapping with use of drone here at village Khetla today. The Cabinet Minister said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Maan was committed to the overall development of the state and was working sincerely to resolve the problems of the people.
Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema said that the drone survey has been started for the marking the houses inside the Laal Lakir in the villages of Dirba subdivision and after the mapping, door to door survey will be conducted on the basis of which the maps would be drawn.
He said that after this, objections will be sought publicly and after the completion of this process, ownership rights will be given to the house owners by giving certificates.
S. Harpal Singh Cheema appealed that whenever a concerned officer comes to the villages to obtain various details regarding the provision of ownership rights, the officer should be given full support. He said that by getting the ownership rights of the houses, the people of the villages will be able to get different types of financial benefits based on the property like loans for needs etc.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Varjit Walia, SDM Dirba Rajesh Kumar Sharma, DSP Prithvi Singh Chahal, Tehsildar Jinsu Bansal, SHO Gurpratap Singh, Rural Development and Panchayat Department officials, local AAP leaders and important personalities of Gram Panchayat Khetla were also present.
