New Delhi: In a significant blow to the international drug syndicate, Delhi Police and Gujarat Police conducted a joint operation, seizing 518 kilograms of cocaine worth Rs 5,000 crore from Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. This massive haul is part of the government's "Zero Tolerance against Drugs" policy and "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" initiative.
The investigation began on October 1, when the Special Cell of Delhi Police raided a warehouse in Mahipalpur, seizing 562 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana. Further investigation led to the recovery of an additional 208 kilograms of cocaine from a shop in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi, on October 10. The total seizure now stands at 1,289 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of hydroponic Thailand marijuana, valued at Rs 13,000 crore.
