Mumbai: In a shocking incident, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in Mumbai's Bandra East on Saturday night. The attack occurred near the office of his son, Zeeshan Siddiqui. Baba Siddique suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two accused, one from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, have been arrested, while a third accused is still at large. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured that the Mumbai police will soon apprehend the third accused.
