Chandigarh: The Ministry of Women and Child Development has called for final nominations for the Prime Minister's National Child Award until July 31st, 2023. The announcement of the award will take place on the occasion of Children's Day, December 26th.
In an official statement, the government spokesperson revealed that under this prestigious national award, exceptional achievements in various fields of culture, bravery, sports, social sciences, science and technology, and the environment, among others, made by children under the age of 18 until July 31st, 2023, will be honored with the President's award in January 2024.
It was further mentioned that the Child Award has two categories, namely the Child bravery award and the Child Excellence award. A total of 25 children will be selected in both categories. Each award will include a cash prize of one lakh rupees, a medal, and a certificate of honor.
The spokesperson also provided information about the selection process, stating that preliminary screening will be conducted by the screening committee. Subsequently, the final selection will be made by the National Committee. Further details related to the awards can be found on awards.gov.in.
