Palghar, Maharashtra: Cyrus Mistry, successor of Ratan Tata as the sixth chairman of Tata Sons but was later ousted in in October 2016 in a high-profile boardroom coup, was killed in a road accident after his car rammed a divider in Palghar, Maharashtra. He was 54.
Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a silver Mercedes car. The car was badly damaged. According to SP District Palghar, accident took place around 3.15 pm, the accident took place on a bridge over the Surya river. The car driver and person travelling with him were injured and have been shifted to a hospital.
